RARE OLD ANTIQUE NEPALESE HANSHEE KUKRI WITH NICE LEATHER SCABBARD

Description

Nepalese hanshee kukri with leather scabbard. Nice early example probably early 19th century. It measures 19” when measured in its scabbard and in a straight line from the tip of the scabbard to the top of the pommel. Long wooden handle with very fine grain. Iron bolster. Long heavily curved blade has a good bit of oxidation on both sides. Blade features two narrow fullers that run along the spine near the forte. Notch carved at base of blade. There are a couple of nicks to the edge of the blade. Nice leather scabbard made from a thick hide with embroidered stitches that are nicely done. A rare and sought after hanshee knife.
