Antique PhilippinesTrinket Box, 1910s to 1920s. Nara wood, rich dark patina. Shipped with USPS First Class.
This has the deep rich patina of a piece over a hundred years old, but has markings on the interior that are too perfect for hand turning without a machine... Putting date of manufacture in the 20th century, as do the aesthetics of the design.
From previous experience, I believe this to be Nara wood, which was most readily harvested and worked in the Phillipines.
I do not have any official. Provenance and the asking price reflects that.
