    Description

    Rare 10-pc Antique Tea Set
    I obtained this item from an estate sale in Seagrove, NC.  The estate was of woman that had a huge collection of pottery and tea sets.  As a collector, she had received tea sets her whole life as gifts.  In an attempt to find out more about it, I researched similar items but have not found another like it.

    Asheboro Gift Shop Label on bottom of plate - established in the 1920's, the shop is no longer in existence.
    The set seems to be ceramic with a textured pottery glazed applied.  Hand-painted pink dragonflies decorate the set, very whimsical design.
