Antique Cirebon Sempana keris, kris - Cirebon XVIII-era (18th century) - Wilah with silver Wahyu Tumurun pamor and Sempana dapur - Finely carved, antique Rasaksa handle - Cirebon Lamen warangka (gandar Iras) of Sono Keling wood.
This antique Cirebon Sempana keris dates from the Cirebon XVIII era (18th century).
The old wilah (blade) is forged with a striking silver pamor Wahyu Tumurun. Wahyu Tumurun literally means "revelation that descends." By its name alone, this pamor motif has an element of high hopes, an honorable position and also an established value in life. Pamor Wahyu Tumurun kris is interpreted as a symbol to attain a high position through the intercession of the almighty. Even if one is smart and skilled in science, literature and so on, but if you have not received revelation, of course you cannot get a position. Wahyu Tumurun possesses spiritual powers that make the owner radiate an attitude of competence through which the owner will receive revelations in both material and immaterial sense. In history, this pamor motif was much sought after by high-ranking soldiers and statesmen. Today this pamor is popular among managers, directors and other executives.
In addition, the wilah is forged to Semapa dapur with 9 luk (waves). Sempana comes from the word Supeno, which means dream, or aspiration, or vision, which means a person with a good vision or point of view, or one who receives guidance on the spiritual path. The real philosophy that can be taken from the Sempana keris dhapur is that people have many weaknesses in life. We always make mistakes and we still have a lot to learn. Therefore, it is natural that we should continue to strive to do better, introspect ourselves and learn not to repeat the same mistakes and strive to achieve the perfection of life through self-improvement. If we look at the keris count of some formidable, we will see that most keris of some formidable are only read with a maximum number of 9 (nine). Very old keris is rarely found with more than nine turns. Borobudur, the largest temple founded by the Syailendra dynasty that adheres to the teachings of Buddha Gautama, actually has 9 levels on the human and earth level while the last stage is 10 highest level for a person to become Buddha and it also symbolizes Nirvana where Buddha dwells.
At the top is a finely carved antique Rasaksa handle. The keris is housed in a Cirebon Lamen warangka of Sono Keling wood. The Gandar is of the type Gandar Iras, the warangka and gandar are carved from one piece of solid wood.
